Who we are
Kosher World ("we", "our", "us") is an independent app developed by Hirschprung Digital. We operate the Kosher World mobile application and the website at kosherworldapp.com. Our contact email is kosherworldapp@gmail.com.
What information we collect
We collect as little information as possible. Here is what we do collect:
- Purchase information: If you purchase Kosher World Pro, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details, name, or Apple ID.
- App usage data: We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage analytics (e.g. which countries are viewed most) to help improve the app. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
- Contact information: If you email us for support, we receive your email address and the content of your message. We use this only to respond to you.
What we do not collect
We do not collect, store, or share:
- Your name, address, or any personal identifiers
- Your location (the "Nearby Stores" feature uses your device GPS only — it is processed on-device and never sent to our servers)
- Your browsing history or search queries within the app
- Any data from your contacts, camera, or microphone
How we use your information
Any information we hold is used only to:
- Deliver and improve the Kosher World app and website
- Respond to support requests you send us
- Understand how the app is used in aggregate, to prioritise new features
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Data storage and security
The Kosher World app stores product data locally on your device. Pro users who enable offline mode download product lists which are stored on your device only. We use Supabase for our backend database and Cloudflare for our website — both are industry-standard, security-focused infrastructure providers.
Third-party services
The app uses the following third-party services:
- Apple App Store — for app distribution and in-app purchases. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Google Maps — used only when you tap "Nearby Stores" or "Nearby Restaurants." Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare — our website and API are served through Cloudflare, which may log anonymised request data for security purposes.
Children's privacy
Kosher World is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently received information from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Your rights
Since we collect minimal personal data, there is very little to request. However, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of any personal data we hold
- Withdraw consent at any time for any processing based on consent

Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
